(More customer reviews)I didn't unbox this item for a month or so after receiving it which was a mistake. One rear, expandable hinge was broken and the screws to it were missing. There are three scratches on the finish, one is a gouge that I have had to repair and can hopefully finish to match. This item also does not come with a sink top, so the add'l expense is that much more. I already had a sink top, the reason I ordered this cabinet. I also purchased this cabinet for $200 less than the now listed price of $588 which included shipping. I recommend finding something local if you can so you can return it more easily if there is any damage. The wood with this cabinet is just a veneer.

Think I could have managed it myself as there were extra tools provided in the box which were required for the install. I love this product and can highly recommend. Particularly like the sleek style and ease of use. We did switch the water lines so that when I turn on it will bring on the hot water, as most of my need is for hot and that was mainly due to the small area at the back of my sink which doesn't allow much room for the swing of the handle. This way the handle is at the front and easily accessable.

We finally installed our facuet.I waited until it was actually working to make comment.This was a purchased as an upgrade from the basic one that came with my RO system.The Executive Standard Reverse Osmosis System Faucet is heavy and very well constructed and is an attractive addition to our remodeled kitchen.We have the Satin Nickel model installed next to a stainless steel Hansglohe. The finish matches and design complement each other to our satisifaction.We were advised this could be a delayed shipment, but it came in exactly one week to the day I ordered it. I am happy with the product and like buying products made in USA when I can.

I purchased this at a national hardware retailer about 6 months ago, and I can't say enough just how much I regret this purchase; it has been nothing but a headache. If I could rate it below ONE STAR, I would.

See this link, or cut and paste: it's the same faucet... in "Stainless", with ALL of the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS: Price Pfister 53P50SS Genesis Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Pull-Down Spout Sprayer and Soap Dispenser, Stainless Steel

The faucet right out of the box had the classic "Lazy Handle" Problem that is demonstrated by a reviewer's video in the 53P50SS review...this one's is on its fifth cartridge (including the original) and the problem has resolved...for now.

The overall build and feel are cheap and flimsy; this does not seem like it was built to last, lots of plastic finished over to "look" like metal.

Yes, while Price Pfister have been very good about customer support, I feel that it shouldn't have been necessary in the first place.

At one point they started talking about shipping fees, for the replacement parts that they were about to send me, to fix their terribly flawed product! Excuse me!?! It's not my fault that the design is lousy, and now when it needs replacement parts it's going to cost me (MORE) money in shipping and handling FOR THEIR FLAWED DESIGN! NO-WAY!

The Soap Dispenser is a complete piece of junk: the grommet, at the end of the soap spout pops out after about 6 weeks of use; I am on dispenser head #2, and I finally Shoe-Gooed the grommet back in, since RTV silicone didn't provide a durable repair (I'll leave a note later to see if this is a durable fix).

Overall, I have to say that even though Price Pfister have stood behind the design, I am skeptical about its continued durability.

The mere notion that they may start to charge me for freight for warranty replacement parts, is wholly unacceptable, because this means that the TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP of the product is simply unpredictable.

I bought Price Pfister because of the brand's reputation for "worry-free" service, but the Genesis Series just doesn't seem to pass muster. Growing up, Price Pfisters never seemed to malfunction... they were just reliable, sturdy and robustly built faucets: INSTALL AND FORGET.

I really think that Price Pfister should think hard, and recall these, and get back to the "solid basics" that have literally made them a "Fixture" in households for many years.

I have grave misgivings, not only about this product's durability, but now about Price Pfister in-general (The Black and Decker Group, they have Moen too.).

If it seems like I'm out to give Price Pfister a bad rap, that's just not the case; I'd like them to take notice, and I'd like other consumers to be aware that this faucet's design is unacceptably flawed.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that one tip of diverter valve that attaches to the faucet and diverts the water to the filter broke. I called the company and they were aware of the manufacture defect. They were very friendly and helpful. They put a whole new "diverter valve attachment" in the mail that same day.After changing out the part we have had no other problems at all after several months of substantial use.

Not on display anywhere, we had only the picture to go by - just the one picture, which makes it look a lot thinner than the actual item. Be forewarned: it is very wide and very heavy. Seems high quality and we still like it for our application.

(More customer reviews)I've had this faucet for about three or four months now. It looks very nice and so far the actual plumbing aspect of it is fine. However, the handles seem to be poorly constructed. In the first week each handle started loosening in two spots, the screw that is under the little cap that indicates "hot" or "cold" water, and at the point where the handle itself screws into the vertical support. I'm tightening them every other day.

I have to admit all the other new faucets I have have handles that will occasionally need a turn to tighten them. . .but not as bad as this one.
Drives me crazy. . . handles all rattly and stuff.

(More customer reviews)After searching many local stores and online sites, I was surprised to find these faucets on Amazon for much less (50-70%) than other places. I bought 3 of these faucets immediately. They are exactly what I wanted with the polished chrome finish, high arc spout that is longer than 5", and a pull rod that comes straight up. I also wanted the curved, French-style handles.
The construction of the faucet set is very nice and sturdy. My plumber also said the same thing. They look great on my new granite countertops.
You can't beat the price. Home Depot Expo wanted $300+ to special order this exact same set. Good thing I waited a couple of days and searched again on the internet.

Once I had those, installation was pretty straightforward, as kitchen faucets go, anyway.Since you are going to be working under the sink, (a) WEAR EYE PROTECTION, as Mr. Gravity seems to magically direct the falling detritus straight to your eyes, and (b) put a pillow at the cabinet ledge to preserve your back.It worked for me, anyway.

We've had this installed for about six months now and it has worked reliably for the entire time.The only thing I would note is that the spray control is easy to activate, but requires a minimum flow to stay engaged.A really soft, mild spray does not seem possible, althoughthat's rarely needed and one learns to adjust the flow after a while.

Note that we have the White Heat version of this rather than the chrome.

This meets my expectations and is recommended.Four stars.

It has been installed about a month now and no issues at all. I was a little hesitant to install one of these pre rinse faucets but now that it is here and installed there are no regrets at all.
We had our sink special ordered from home depot for the single whole since most sinks at the store come in 3-4 holes. Home Depot ordered the sink and matched an online price and special ordered it for the 1 whole for no cost at all.(we have a drop in sink but if you have an under mount you won't have any issues)

(More customer reviews)My parents needed a new faucet for the kitchen sink as our old one kept coming loose because the handle was attached to the faucet. This particular 4-piece set attracted them because of the separate on/off handle and separate sprayer. The sprayer on the old faucet was also just a pull-out faucet head with a button for switching to sprinkle and regular pressure. This Delta set is so much better, and my dad said it wasn't hard to install either. He and my sister's boyfriend installed this within a few hours the other day. This set is classic, simple and pleasing to the eye in chrome. Our sink looks great, almost new again now.

My mom loves the swivel of the main head because it can swing completely over to each side of the sink for when she needs to have access to the sink on its own without having any obstruction. She can fill deep pots in our farm sink without having to move the sink head now just to get the pots into it.

The water pressure here hasn't changed, but the faucet seems to have better flow than our old one because it doesn't take much to turn it on and a big rush of water starts up immediately. So I guess the on/off handle is more sensitive when turning it on/off, but we like it because that means we get a wider range of water pressure flow overall when doing dishes, etc.

The sprayer is sturdy and works as it should, and it's not hard to turn and twist to angle it in and around things in the sink. Also, the hose attached to it retracts easily and doesn't feel like it won't go back on it's own.

The soap dispenser works easily, too, and has plenty of storage capacity for a regular/medium bottle of dishwashing liquid soap. We have a dishwasher, and, most of the time, we mainly use the soap dispenser for two or three pumps to clean pots and pans and handwashing. It's very convenient. I'd say it gets pumped about 10-12 times a day max. It's holding up very well and doesn't get stuck like our old one. It also bounces back from a pump pretty quickly.

Overall, we are very happy with our new Delta Faucet system, and I would highly recommend this to other customers looking for a simple, sophisticated set that doesn't scream, "We paid too much for our faucet," but still says, "We definitely care about quality."

(More customer reviews)I originally wanted an American Standard Champion 4 toilet, but it does not come in a 10 inch rough-in.I do have the Champion 4 in my 12 inch rough-in bathroom.In the 2 months I have had both, the Champion 4 has not clogged a single time.The Cadet 3 has only clogged once.This is from a family of 6 where my old 3.5 gallon toilets these replaced were being plunged 2-3 times per week.I dreaded getting rid of the old toilets with all the horror stories about 1.6 gallon toilets, but both of these toilets (Champion 4 and Cadet 3) are better with much less clogging and lower water usage - a rare win win situation!!!If I had a 12 inch rough in I would go for the Champion 4 and pay the extra $40.00 though.I estimate these toilets will pay for themselves in 2-3 years.

**My water tastes completely different, and I noticed on the first sip. It tastes like water, instead of water that's been laced with some kind of weird aftertaste or partially steeped in a foreign substance. When I have a cup of tea, I find that even the tea tastes more crisp and simple. It's not hampered with odd flavors from whatever was in my water. And, since I enjoy my tea a great deal, this is good news to me. :)

**Installation was really simple. I did it in less than five minutes while chatting with a friend on the phone with the phone pinned with my shoulder. Really low-effort. Just twisting a few pieces and using a little wrench dealie. No crouching under the sink or drilling holes. Not an intimidating process in the least.

**Water pressure is surprisingly strong. I can fill a pot without it taking all day.

**I have to move and travel frequently, and I know I can remove and re-install this in a snap, no matter where I have to go, without damage or interruption to the plumbing or water system of the next place. It's also compact enough to be packed into a suitcase without sacrificing a lot of room or adding inconvenient weight.

**Overall, I'm impressed at how uncomplicated and unconfusing this setup is. I get filtered water quickly and can get on with my day. I think the price is also very fair, especially for the peace of mind I feel having filtered water and the better enjoyment of the taste in my drinks and cooking.Second, the basics::
I really know very little about water filtration so I had a few questions before I bought this item. I think that, for those like me, who don't know much about the process, it can be confusing trying to pick out a filter because what may be common knowledge to some people gets glossed over. Basic questions are sometimes not covered because it seems assumed that the potential customer should know them. In case there's anyone who is feeling that way, I'm going to offer a few basic tidbits about my experience with this filter in case it might be of use. If you're already comfortable with the basics of water filtration, this will be too simplistic for use, I'm sure, so never mind it.The product is much like the photo, except that the photo doesn't show how it connects to your water system, which I found confusing. Is it a tank? Would that mean it has a tiny capacity? Does it connect to the plumbing? Would I have to drill holes in the counter or sink?

Thankfully, it was a no to all of that.

What this unit is, is actually a fitting that goes onto the end of your faucet (not pictured) and a slender white tubing that connects from the fitting and into the tall, white unit, which houses a filter. When you turn on your water, water flows out of the tap as normal. (The fitting allows for this.) When you want filtered water, you pull a diverter pin on the fitting and the flow goes, instead, through the tubing, and into the filter, where it trickles down, is cleaned, and comes out the unit's own spout. When you are done, turn off the water as normal on your faucet, or push the pin back in and water will return to flowing from your faucet head.

The filter unit does hold some water inside it after you're done, but it's not stored water meant for drinking. When you first turn on the water and divert it to the filter, wait a few seconds for the stagnant water to clear, then collect what you need. The filter doesn't need time to build up and process or slowly drip through. You just turn on the water and it starts flowing. There's no concern of capacity not meeting demand and the filtered water won't 'run out'. It comes out of the filter as quickly as it would come out of your faucet's tap.

As for the tubing, it's not something you can really hide or cover, but apart from the potential aesthetic issue some people might have, there's no physical inconvenience of tangling or twisting or anything. (but really, you're already making the choice to put a mini white water tower on your counter, so do you care about aesthetics?) There's just enough lead for you to let it run back behind your sink and put the unit off to the side. While that may be a negative for some, the benefit of having an on-top-of-counter unit is that you don't have to do any tricky installations, I suppose. You just place the unit on your counter, twist off your faucet's current cap, twist on the unit's fitting, and you're done. If you're looking for a full house system or some really hardcore equipment, I don't think this is really what you're looking for, but if you're looking for inexpensive, quick to put in, easy use, for some good drinking and cooking water for you or your family, this has been a great purchase for me and I would recommend it for others.

One very important thing to note is that this hook won't actually hold a towel (neither bath towel nor hand towel).The smooth horizontal prongs don't grip anything and the towel slides right off.I tried light and heavy towels.The only way the towel will stay on is if you roll up the edge and use friction to push the towel into the niche.

It's too bad because I have the faucet and wanted matching hooks.Oh well!

I think this hook would work if you wanted to hang something that had a built-in loop (e.g. robe or face towel).

The pull-out sprayer is very nice, but the two settings aren't that different, so I think that's a bit of a shame. Also, the flow is a bit moderate compared to a rip-roaring basic faucet, but it fills a pot fast enough. Might just be how the water comes out that makes it seem less exciting. So, it's very elegant, overall.

(More customer reviews)I only decided to write this review after noting other Price Pfister kitchen faucets were getting negative reviews.I love this faucet, though I probably wouldn't love it as much if I bought it here.I picked this up for $70 on the 'Bay.We needed a new faucet because the one that came with the house was falling apart.We're considering remodeling the kitchen in the next 2 years, so I really wanted something cheap that didn't look cheap, that I'd only use for the interim.I didn't expect it to be as nice as it is.

The sprayer is like a power washer.And it can be used when running only a light stream of water.I noted the other reviews were complaining specifically about the sprayer...this model doesn't have that problem.And because this ticks me off about other people's sprayers, it doesn't have a delayed release.I don't know if it's because other people have food stuck in their sprayers or what; even some new, clean looking sprayers have a slight delay, causing water to splash outside of the sink.

The soap dispenser works wonderfully.In fact, I didn't originally want a soap dispenser, but it's changed my mind.Refilling it is a breeze, and there are no leaks.My only complaint is that there isn't a way to know when you've reached the top when refilling, so I always spill over.

It's all solid construction.It's heavy - you'd never think so looking at it.It was also easy to install.Definitely recommend.

(More customer reviews)We got a 900-10503CP "Tuscany (R) Brass Faucet" for $82.99 from Menards to replace a 12 yr old, leaking kitchen faucet. Fittings / couplings are metal - fit snug. DIY installation went smoothly - no surprises. Instructions showed diagrams of 3-Hole installation - ours was Single-Hole installation - lack of diagram presented an initial stumbling block, because I had never done this sort of install before, but by no means a show-stopper. We've had the faucet installed for a week now - works great - very smooth operation, faucet movement is free / not binding or jerky, handle to turn water on/partial/off/hot/warm/cold much smoother and more consistent than original equipment. Based on cost/value, ease of installation, and operation/function to date, I would recommend this model, but be warned, the box label says Made In China, although that was covering a label that said Made In Singapore, so my bet is that it'll be free of the problems that plague products from main-land China.

My comments:

Though Franke claims all brass, the shower head is "all" plastic.

The lock button on top of the shower head is impossible to use if your hands are wet. It is a truly stupid design.

The regulator handle on both units need too much pressure to control and are not smooth in operation. As a result, it is very difficult to get the flow we're looking for.We resort to nudges and beating it gently to adjust water flow.

On one faucet, it is very difficult to move the head side to side. It has binded and dismantling it shows no apparent problems and oiling it did no good.

The other faucet recently started to leak.

The prices shown above are both more than we paid from a boutique decorative hardware store.

You can do a lot better elsewhere.

(More customer reviews)Recently we remodeled the kitchen. While the home wreckers were doing their job, Amazon put this faucet and matching soap dispenser in a Gold Box sale. For the past few weeks I had been looking at a LOT of faucets. What a bewildering selection is available! But I had a good idea what I wanted and when I saw this one in my Gold Box for 1/3 the retail price, I couldn't click fast enough. Besides, I figured if I didn't like its looks I could always return it. It arrived in good condition and just when the remodelers were ready for it. Also, my contractor (who has been in the remodeling business for over 20 years) said it was one of the best faucets he had seen. He bought one for his house.
It has been installed in my new kitchen for over a month now and I have zero complaints or problems. It adds greatly to the overall style and look of the kitchen and, as the other reviewer has said, it makes doing the dishes fun.
I had a separate sprayer attached to a sink in my last house and I disliked it. A lot. It made a mess of wash up, and seemed to spray more outside the sink than into it. Not so with this faucet: the spray is controllable and adjustable.
Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)I live in an apartment where I probably am not technically able to install one of these, but I bought it and installed it anyway.I will remove it & take it with me when I leave.But, the original faucet is a cheap POS and this was an "Ultimate Upgrade" to say the least.

I bought this from the discount rack (opened, but NEW item from mrpearl11) for $60.It is awesome.I love the height, giving the ability to get my hands and pots, pans, etc... under it.And, I love the hidden sprayer.It pulls from the spout and is about 28" long when fully extended.

Head has dual sprayers accessed by twisting the nozzle.Head also pivots on the end of the hose so it is a bit easier to use.Finish is great, installation was simple.

Only thing I have a small problem with is when you reinsert the nozzle into the end of the faucet spout it isn't as easy as you would expect.It isn't really hard, by any means, but you have to wiggle it to make sure it seats itself properly.

(More customer reviews)We bought this faucet as part of a bathroom rehab in our condo. We really liked the style, both classic and modern,
the stainless steel finish was flawless, everthing was perfect till I actually went to use it. The stainless steel
lever handles are attached to high tech plastic cartridges that control the water flow. Even the shafts of these
cartridges are plastic, and they bend at the slightest movement of the lever, so the mechanism has a distinctly
flimsy, rubbery feel to it. The shafts are about an inch long and the lever mounting screw hole is threaded all
the way down, so I tried using longer screws to strenghten the shafts and lessen the bending, but in the end they
still were wobblier than any faucet I've ever owned. Functionally they are fine and operate smoothly, but I would
rather have paid $20-30 more for a faucet with metal shafts. I recommend you go to Lowes or wherever and try the
display model before you buy one.

(More customer reviews)I bought a pair of these to replace some very old dual translucent knob faucets. They were forty dollars each as part of an Amazon gold box deal.

The installation was straight forward and took about 30 minutes each (most of the time spent removing the old faucets.) The drain piece which comes with them only has a screen over the top - there is no plunger to stop up the drain if you want to fill the sink. The single handle moves smoothly and is guided to the center when you turn off the faucet.

For the gold box price, they serve the purpose, look nice, and clean up easily (my kids tend to get toothpaste all over them.)

My only complaints is that the water pressure is a little lower then I would like and that the sprayer hose is nylon and not stainless (but Danze is not the only manufacturer that does this, many other $400+ faucets that I have put in from Hansghroe also uses the nylon hose)

Of course, I wanted to check Amazon to see if I could get a better deal, as it was priced at $200 at Home Depot. Found it on Amazon through a different seller for $94. What a deal!It arrived on time, however, without the installation instructions. Was able to go to the manufacturers website and print out complete instructions. Was actually quite easy to install. The quality is great and it looks impressive. The faucet is quite tall, so you can fit large pots underneath and it never gets dirty or only rarely has a water spot or two. We have had no issues with the sprayer. The brushed stainless steel looks like new always, but also cleans up easily if there is a water spot. A quick wipe with a damp cloth and it looks like new again! Highly recommend.

(More customer reviews)The plumbers put the rough-in toilet flange too close to the wall for a normal size toilet. It was in a concrete floor. The 10" rough-in toilet was perfect for this application as I only had 9.5" from the center of the toilet flange/drain to the back wall. The actual bowl is a normal size. the tank is small and is actually lower profiled and looks nicer than a normal size bowl. It does not come with a toilet seat. It did come with mounting bolts and the plastic snap on bolt covers.
I am very satisfied with this product. It came packaged to survive a fall from a 2nd floor window.

The handle is longer than most bathroom fixtures giving the user more leverage. This is ideal for the older or infirm. Anyone with hand weekness or problems manipulating objects should have little trouble using the lever to turn the water on and off, and change the temperature and pressure of the water.

It is a timeless design that was discontinued by American Standard. This product is no longer manufactured.

I've performed surgery on Moens and now a Blanco product; this stuff happend. I called Blanco and their service department was very professional and helped me ID the part need and provided a diagram. Some of the oomponents hand screwed on, the rest required a simple small adjustable wrench to get to the rubber gasket. It works like a charm again. I'm pleased with the finish and the functional aspects of the product and would recommend it to anyone. I found best price through Amazon without reservation.

(More customer reviews)This is a very nice faucet if you are lucky enough to get it for a good price. I have seen the price for this faucet vary from almost $120.00 to $50.00. I bought 2 at $50.00 each on a one day special. I was upgrading 2 similar Delta faucets in our bathroom. I checked the Danze website and I was satisfied that this faucet would be a good one. After receiving the faucets and having them installed a few weeks ago, I can tell you the pros and cons so far.

The PROS: Beautiful faucet, work very nicely, better construction (in my opinion) than many faucets I had looked at elsewhere, lifetime guarantee

The CONS: inside the faucet I noticed a sticker that read "made in China" - this shocked me since the retail for a single faucet is close to $200.00 and it is made in China? I also noticed that the entire curved front section under the spigot is made from plastic - again I ask if this makes sense on a $200.00 faucet.

For me , the bottom line is that I believe that I have upgraded what I previously had with beautiful replacements. Time will tell if they stand up and/or are covered under the lifetime warranty. For the price I paid, I did not (and still do not) feel that I went wrong.

These need regular re-greasing with silicon grease or the faucet is hard to turn, and leaks small amounts of water which lead to mold and discoloration. This gets worse over time. I have replaced the o-rings in the hopes that things would get better, but it was only a slight improvement. It's just not a practical design. My wife hates this faucet!!!

(More customer reviews)I got one of these about four years ago and replaced it today after the hose guide for the sprayer broke and and because it had been dripping for several months.I might also mention that the soap dispenser never worked from day one.I'm sure the dripping is repairable, but when I took the top off, it looked like it needed a special wrench to get down to the ceramic disk.I was not able to find the tool at the local Home Depot and Lowes, so, after the sprayer hose guide broke, I decided to replace it the whole thing.

I replaced it with exactly the same faucet because this is really an attractive design for the money.The finish seemed to hold up very well.After over four years, aside from the specific problems described in this review, it still looked like new.The new soap dispenser works fine as well. But...

While the faucet seems well constructed, the hose guide that fits in the sink for the sprayer is rather thin plastic.The guide is made to work even when mounted in a very thick counter top, so it projects below the hole in the sink by several inches.I suspect that when the sprayer is pulled out far enough, it will put torque on that thin plastic hose guide and, in my case, broke it off.On the new one, I cut about three inches off the guide so it that problem no longer exists.

Another problem with the sprayer on this faucet is the fact that the thin metal decorative collar that fits around the hose guide sits right against the sink which will leave scratches on the top surface of the sink (stainless steel in my case).The faucet has a plastic grommet under it that protects the sink, but not the sprayer.

I might also point out that, despite the words "All metal construction" on the box, the aforementioned hose guide as well as the sprayer itself, are both plastic.The sprayer held up ok, but the plastic hose guide had very noticeably chipped where the sprayer rests when you're not using it.You need to be careful you don't just let the sprayer drop back into the guide when you're done using it.

Another less serious issue with my first faucet was the fact that, unless you had the tap open pretty far, the lever would drop down under it's own weight shutting off the flow.The only time this would be a problem is if I wanted a weak flow and didn't have a free hand to hold the lever up.The new faucet doesn't seem to exhibit his problem.

Finally, the faucet seems to sputter a little.The flow is irregular and I think it has to do with the sprayer valve.It's not really anything more than a very minor annoyance, but I've never had that happen on faucets by Delta.It just makes the flow a bit irregular and clunky.That happens on both the old and new faucets and starts the first time you use the sprayer.

Anyway, I would give this faucet 5 stars for appearance, but two stars for durability and 2 stars because of the non-functional soap dispenser (which worked fine on the new faucet).If I had decided to repair it and found that Price Pfister was quick to replace the broken parts, I may have rated it higher, but I am still disappointed that it broke.

The spray does not work right and the hot and cold wont stay where they should be when you turn the handle. We adjusted it but it just wont stay. (More customer reviews)I got this to replace the original seat that came with my old low-profile American Standard toilet.The style was Roma, I believe.I was hesitant at first because the seat I was replacing was made over 20 years ago so I wasn't sure if this new seat would fit well.I called American Standard to confirm this was the right seat and they did.So I went ahead and ordered it.When it arrived, I was relieved to find it was the exact match to my old Roma toilet seat.It's the same design, but the plastic was lighter.It also appeared to be stronger.Because the bumper guards and toilet seat were together in one piece and from the same mold, it probably wouldn't suffer the same fate as my old one did.The bumper guards in my original seat were screwed in, making the seat weak in the areas where the guards were fastened.So after many accidental drops of the seat onto the edge of the toilet bowl over the years, the seat eventually cracked around those screw holes.This was why I replaced my old toilet seat.Hopefully, with the improved design of the new seat, cracks like this won't happen again.

(More customer reviews)It was so promising.It looked beautiful.I opened the box and found that instead of being written in 13 languages in 2 point font, the assembly instructions were completely pictorial.Oook-oook!Cro-magnon man could put this thinig together and I did! I even turned on the water and there weren't any leaks!

But then I used the faucet.It ran fine.I turned it off and it continued to run.Not a drip, not a leak, but run.At about half the volume of full on.After about thirty seconds it slowed to a tinkle, then stopped with just the intermittent drip.

The pictorial assembly instructions that I raved about a few minutes earlier now became the object of my rage as it contained no words, pictures or hints as to how to adjust the thing.I removed the handle and tightened the big nut a bit which did not improve the problem.Then I reversed the assembly steps, put it back int he box and returned it to Lowes.Leaking out of the box will be remembered when it begins to leak again in a year or two.

I bought a Delta.Stay tuned for that review...

(More customer reviews)I bought a simular tap at Home Depot and found upon installation that the threaded hot and cold water inlet pipes were too short. Once the plastic anchoring nut was installed there was not enough thread left to tighten on the hot and cold water inlet hoses. I was installing the tap onto a standard laminate counter top and a basic porcelin sink. Upon returning to Home depot I inspected a number of taps and found all of the American Standard ones had 1 3/4" long inlets. Moen and Delta had 2 1/4"-2 1/2" or greater inlet lengths. This extra length allowed proper installation. If it fits your application then it is as good a choice as any comparable brand, just check first to ensure that it will work for you.

I now have TWO.The first I bought a year ago to replace a noisy, dying, 8-year-old disposal in the kitchen island.When the Disposer in the main kitchen sink started to go, I knew just which replacement to get.Plenty of power to chew through most common garbage, and QUIET to boot!
For the most economical, you will NOT get power wires.You'll have to remove the power wires from you old unit and install them on the new one.As long as you can handle a screwdriver without inflicting bodily injury, you should be fine with this one.If you have a DIRECT WIRE unit, be SURE to pop the circuit breaker BEFORE removing the old, or installing the new!!
You may ALSO be wise to visit your local Lowes (couldn't find them at Home Depot) and picking up a longer discharge tail.At least for me, the outflow on this unit was about 1.5" higher than my old unit.Picking up a $2 tail extension (Item #: 26616) took care of the problem.

(More customer reviews)We replaced our old faucet when we remodeled our kitchen last year and love the look of this faucet. It looks like a faucet from a by-gone era. All in all, it is a decent faucet but had some problems about a year after installation. One of the pieces from inside the faucet got clogged and water pressure came to a dribble. Customer service sent us a replacement piece but was inconvenient not to have really running water in the kitchen for about a week! The soap dispenser pump had even more problems. They had to replace it 3 times ( each time they promised to change the pump mechanism on the replacement but never did ) but kept sending me another one with the same problem, and finally had to send us a different unit that didn't have the design flaw. We now have a soap dispenser that works but doesn't match the faucet. Thank goodness for price pfister customer service but I am disappointed with the quality of their products. I still like my faucet, just disappointed with the hassle.

'50s fixtures. They arrived promptly (I ordered two in case this should

(More customer reviews)I've installed a few kitchen faucets before this one.It is a very easy install with parts available for a three hole or single hole sink.The valve is smooth and the transition from pure hot, blended, and pure cold is seamless.The sprayer arm weight is adequate and designed not to snag on anything stored under the sink.Overall very pleased.

My only criticism would be that the base to cover three hole sinks is a little short compared to older models.What this may mean for those of you replacing an older faucet, you will have to clean the area around where the old faucet met the sink very well because this new faucet will likely not cover the entire area covered by the old faucet.

9/14/08 Update:

The faucet does not always return to the normal flow setting and sometimes has a half sprayer/half standard flow.It isn't a big problem, just make sure it is returned to the regular spraying mode completely before shutting off the water.

- Instructions state to run for 30 minutes (seen a lot of reviews saying the water tastes horrible; I'm pretty sure they didn't follow the instructions.for a product that can filter water up to 20,000 gallons I'm sure that it would require running for quite some time before first use)
- 20,000 gallons or 20 years whichever comes first
- Avg household will use roughly 730 Gallons a year 20,000 divided by that amount gives you roughly 27 years of drinking water but I would only give it 5-10 (calculations based off family of four) assuming everyone drinks the recommended eight 8 ounce glasses a day or 0.5 US gallons daily.
- Bottom line for what you pay for some of the smaller water filters that only last about 100 gallons and you have to change the filter every 2-3 months this is the perfect investment for anyone to have.
- Pays for itself no time (no more water bottles or 5 gallons spring waters)

(More customer reviews)Pros: This is a very cool, sleek design. It opens up so many possibilities. The 360 degree articulation feels very natural.

Cons: The button on the handle -only toggles to spray-. As in, you turn on the water, then toggle to spray. The only way to get back to stream (which is non-aerated) is to turn the water off completely, whereupon the button pops back out automatically.

What this means is, when you're washing dishes, you've either got to leave the water on all the time (wasteful) or turn the water off between dishes, turn it back on, and toggle to spray (annoying). This is especially the case because the joystick-style faucet lever can give you whatever level of flow you want. The downside is, you get the flow level right where you want it, wash one dish, then you have to turn it off while you're drying/putting away, then get it riiight where you want it again.

None of this is a terribly big deal. But for anywhere from $800-$1200 depending on where you shop, Kohler really should have thought of everything.

Compares well to other products, but should have been much more than what it is.
